In no other role in life are you expected to just know how to be and just 'get on with it'. You have training, education and time to practice and people understand that things might not be 100% right as you are still learning, honing your skills. Why then, in the most difficult role that exists, with the most arduous tasks, are mothers expected to not have any education or support- especially as the stakes are so high!
Nurturing and raising a child is tough and no easy undertaking. We hope to make the journey more comfortable in providing reassurance in times of trouble and being a gentle hand to hold throughout those first six months.
We don't glamourise parenting, we keep it real. We steer away from the ideologies of 'Super Mum'. We talk raw, feel discomfort and sense the struggles. We know it takes a tribe to raise the next generation. Putting pressures on the shoulders of one individual simply put is just NOT OK. Thank goodness we've found each other.
